Sean is currently based in Washington, D.C. with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Sean recently returned from an 18 month stint with USAID in Haiti. Prior to working in Haiti, he worked in Washington, DC for USAID’s Latin America and Caribbean Bureau for several years and for the U.S. Department of State’s Office of the Coordinator for Reconstruction and Stabilization. Previously, Sean has worked at Boston University on programs tracking democratization and free-market reform in sub-Saharan Africa. He began his career as a journalist at a small-town newspaper. Sean and Nick attended graduate school together at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Sean has a B.A. from Penn State and an M.A. in African Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.
